A Tribute in Honor of:
Master George J Chartier
Master Chartier was to most of us a teacher, but to some he was father, brother, mentor and friend.  Master was born July 5, 1937 in Elizabethtown, NJ.  I first met him in 1969 in Laconia, NH.  Even then, he was a force to be reckoned with.  but he was a gentle person with the spirit of a dragon.  I knew him as my Sensei, but also as a police officer, a mason, a friend and a father.  Our short 35 years together was not enough.  I will always keep him in my heart and in our prayers.
Master Chartier was more than just a teacher.  As a human rights advocate, he was involved with local union, fighting for safer working conditions.  He was a part-time police officer for 10 years and a sergeant of the New Hampton Police Dept.  He was a 32nd degree Mason and Past Master of Mount Prospect Lodge 69 in Holderness, NH.  For years, he was involved with the Bektash Shrine as a hobo clown.  He is missed by us all.
